David Curtis is back with another great political poem! This ironic poem is one many of us can appreciate these days. After con-artist turned president Donald Trump is infected with the very virus he tried to claim was a hoax, it had to be said, and David says it all in this poem.
If he keeps up with this new found love of poetry, we’re going to have to rename the blog to Mykie & Dave Writes It! 😁

Petard of the “Emperor”
The man has the virus, and I want to laugh.
Seems like the hoax is his biggest gaffe.
First no mask, then all bluster.
Now the man is mixed in with the cluster.
His opponent goes high while he stays low.
This infected vermin simply must go.
This irony cuts with so much precision.
Don't die in office, we want you in prison.

I hope you enjoyed this cutting political poem. Please let David know what you think in the comments!
Our next post, coming in just a couple of weeks, will be another possible poem from Michelle Beltano Curtis’ series in progress titled “Elemental,” along with a brief update from her and what’s up next at MWI. Thanks so much for stopping by!
